Chinese Wedding Gown - or Amazing Dressing Gown. Silk -

I think this is a Chinese Wedding Gown. It has embroidered gold Cranes with vivid red headcaps on a neutral background of portentious Chrysanthemums - the combination of red and gold and the Cranes and Chrysanthemums being thought very lucky so I am told. There is a lining of gold silk too, and it is interlined. The gold thread looks and feels like real gold. The Cranes have been stitched into the main fabric to decorate it as an individual work of art. This is so beautifully made and must have been very expensive , I bought it as a dressing gown but have never worn it because I do not want to damage it (!) so have decided to sell it. 500 ono
